Northshore SHRM is dedicated to promoting the future of the human resources field by partnering with SELU SHRM student chapter.
If you are a student pursuing a career in human resources, it is important to begin networking and building a skill set to succeed. Joining a local student chapter is an excellent start!

What’s the purpose of the Southeastern SHRM student?

The chapter affords students the opportunity to gain knowledge and insight into the fields of human resources and industrial relations through affiliation and association with the local, regional and national SHRM sponsors.

Keep students up-to-date on new developments in the field of human resource management.

Encourage the growth and continuation of the professional/career-oriented goals and aspects of the society in members

The student chapters hold regularly scheduled meetings to help members learn more about business and the HR field. They are run by elected student officers with the assistance of a chapter advisor and SHRM professional members.

Students are required to pay dues, and fees to become affiliated with SHRM. National student dues are currently $49 per year.

How does NSHRM support our local Student Chapter?

Student chapter members can join our professional chapter at no charge and runs concurrently with enrollment at the university.  We encourage students to also attend our professional chapter meetings and networking events.

NSHRM designates a College Relations Director (Student Chapter Liaison) who works directly with the student chapter to coordinate events and programs with the professional.
