Northshore SHRM Meeting Policies


Individual Meeting Registration & Meeting Fees – Online registration shall be available in advance for all meetings with the option to pay by credit card, pay at the door, or indicate that the individual has pre-paid all meetings. Registration will guarantee seating and a meal for the registrant and his/her guests as indicated.  Registration at the door for individual meetings may be available at the discretion of the President prior to the commencement of the meeting as venue limitations permit. 

Registrations are transferable. If you cannot attend a meeting you have registered for please send a substitution from your company to bring back the information you may have missed. Cancellations received by email to NorthshoreSHRM@yahoo.com up to 48 hours prior to the start of the meeting will be issued a refund of the paid Meeting Fee less a $3.00 Administrative Fee.  Registrants who have not paid, are not present at the meeting and have not canceled as required will be invoiced the full Meeting Fee plus a $3.00 Invoicing Fee.

Pre-Paid Meetings – Members shall have the opportunity in January to pre-pay registration for the January through November regular meetings in one lump payment and receive December meeting registration for free.  The Pre-Paid Meetings Fee may not be pro-rated to allow participation after January.  Pre-paid Meeting Fees are non-transferable and non-refundable regardless of cancellation. You must be a current paid member in order to take advantage of the Pre-Paid Meetings program.

Non-Solicitation – It is contrary to the purpose of the Chapter for any meeting attendee to promote their product or service at a chapter meeting or event.  Sponsorships for individual meetings and events shall be available to provide organizations the opportunity to promote their products or services in a manner that is not disruptive of the goals of the Chapter.  Other attendees shall not be permitted to distribute promotional materials, solicit for contact information, or promote their product or service beyond sharing their name and the name of their company before, during or after a meeting.  Members may voluntarily offer their contact information to another attendee to allow for contact.
