NSHRM Safe Space Pledge - Promoting Mental Health in the Workplace
WHAT IS IT?
The NSHRM Safe Space Pledge empowers local employers to create a safe environment for open conversations about mental health. By signing the pledge, organizations demonstrate their commitment to reducing stigma and providing resources to employees who may need support. You gain access to a folder of communication materials that can be easily incorporated into your open enrollment, benefits materials, or general employee communications. This pledge is an NSHRM-led initiative, supported by NAMI's local resources and is not an official program of NAMI.
The goal is to foster a safe and supportive environment for employees while encouraging civility and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health.

INTERESTED IN THE ART? WE ARE AUCTIONING IT TO BENEFIT NAMI!
Local Louisiana artist Sarah Hebert has created the beautiful artwork that symbolizes the Safe Space Pledge. Featuring the Seven Sisters Oak tree, this piece represents the mind’s strength and the impact of mental health on our lives. The lakefront and causeway in the background connect this artwork to our local heritage.
This one-of-a-kind piece will be auctioned off in December to benefit NAMI, and all proceeds will support mental health initiatives. Sarah is a self-taught artist from Houma, Louisiana, whose work is rooted in capturing the beauty of the South. You can explore more of Sarah's art on her website: www.sarahkkreations.art.
